Position Overview
Defines target-state data architecture, data platform design, integration patterns, security model, and governance approach for analytics and operational data environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design data lakes, data warehouses, lakehouses, data marts, streaming platforms, master-data solutions, and analytics architectures.
- Define logical and physical data models, integration patterns, data flows, metadata standards, lineage requirements, and retention strategies.
- Select cloud data services suited to mission, performance, scale, cost, security, and interoperability needs.
- Define security and privacy architecture for data platforms, including encryption, masking, tokenization, access control, data classification, DLP, and audit logging.
- Establish architecture standards for batch processing, real-time streaming, CDC, ETL/ELT, APIs, data quality, and self-service analytics.
- Develop data roadmaps, architecture diagrams, platform designs, migration plans, and governance requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years in data architecture, data engineering, data warehousing, analytics, or enterprise information management; 3+ years designing cloud-based data platforms. Experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, AWS Glue, or equivalent preferred.
