ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
What you’ll own.
- Assess cloud spending by provider, account/subscription, service, application, business unit, environment, and cost category.
- Establish cost baselines, analyze trends, identify anomalies, assess utilization, and quantify savings opportunities.
- Design tagging, allocation, showback, chargeback, budgeting, forecasting, and cost-governance frameworks.
- Recommend rightsizing, resource cleanup, storage optimization, autoscaling, reservation/savings-plan strategies, commitment utilization, and discount opportunities.
- Configure and operate cost-management tools, dashboards, budget alerts, anomaly detection, forecasts, and executive reports.
- Track proposed versus realized savings and facilitate monthly FinOps reviews with technology, finance, procurement, application owners, and executives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience that prepares you for the work.
5+ years in cloud financial management, cloud operations, IT financial management, technology consulting, or financial analysis; 2+ years with Azure Cost Management, AWS Cost Explorer, Google Cloud billing, Apptio Cloudability, CloudHealth, or similar tools. FinOps Certified Practitioner or FinOps Professional preferred.
